
NDA is likely win over 160 seats in the Bihar elections and that Nitish Kumar will naturally become chief minister again since he’s leading the alliance said Senior BJP Leader and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday.
Pointing towards the Prashant Kishore factor Rajnath Singh said those reports are false and added this will not affect the elections because voters know who the real contenders are and the Jan Suraaj Party leader might not even win a single seat.
Later in an interview he said, after seeing the good support from voters he is sure that NDA will form the government and assuming to secure two-third majority and winning over 160 seats in Bihar.
When asked about the name of the next BJP president, the Union Minister said, “I think the name will be announced after the Bihar elections.”
He also asserted that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) – the inspiration of the BJP, does not interfere in the party’s political affairs. “It is true that we are sevaks of the RSS and will remain throughout our lives. But RSS never interferes in our political affairs,” he said.
About Nitish Kumar, he mentioned that the election is being held under his leadership, so it is very obvious that he will be the Chief Minister. Further, he added that, women feel that peace and safety has been preserved under Nitish Kumar’s Government, different from the time when RJD was in power. He also mentioned about the positive results of the liquor ban in the state ensuring improved family well-being.
BJP leader about the Anant Singh’s case said some incidents can happen sometimes, and one case doesn’t make someone a criminal and party appoint candidates with clean images, although minor incidents may occur.
